Frequently Asked Questions
Why choose a small group tour?
Small group tours offer a more personal, relaxed, and flexible experience. With a maximum of 16 guests, your guide can focus on providing detailed insights, answer questions, and tailor the experience to the group. Smaller vehicles allow access to hidden corners, narrow lanes, and quieter viewpoints that larger coaches cannot reach, making for a richer and more immersive day out.
Are the meeting points easy to find?
Yes! All meeting points are within short walking distances of tube and bus stops and are easy to reach by taxi. Please arrive at least 10 minutes before departure. The tour must leave on time to ensure entry to sites like Stonehenge, so late arrivals may need to join at the first scheduled stop or make alternative arrangements.
How will I identify the vehicle at the meeting point?
Tours use 8 or 16-seater executive minicoaches. Your guide will be waiting with a sign for the tour and will know your name to welcome you aboard.
How much time will I have at each sightseeing stop?
-
Stonehenge: Around 1 hour 10 minutes, including early access before larger crowds.
-
Bath: Approximately 2 hours, including a guided panoramic tour and optional Roman Baths entry.
-
Lacock: About 30 minutes for a guided walk and photos in the medieval village.
-
Avebury: Around 30 minutes to explore and walk among the stone circle.
Are entries into the attractions included?
Can I touch the stones?
-
At Avebury, you can walk among and touch the stones.
-
At Stonehenge, the stones are protected, and you can walk around the perimeter but cannot touch them.
Is food and drink included?
Food and drink are not included, but there are opportunities to purchase snacks and meals at certain stops. You are welcome to bring a packed lunch.
Can I bring food and drink on the coach?
Only cold food and beverages with screw-top lids are allowed. Hot drinks in open cups are not permitted due to safety concerns. Please take all litter with you.
How much walking is involved?
-
Stonehenge: Mostly flat paths; a shuttle bus connects the visitor centre to the stones.
-
Bath: Around a 15–20 minute walk from the coach drop-off to the Roman Baths; cobbled streets may be uneven.
-
Lacock: Minimal walking, mainly for photos and short exploration.
-
Avebury: Limited walking in the fields around the stone circle.
What should I wear?
Dress in layers and check the weather forecast. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended, along with a waterproof jacket or umbrella, as England’s weather can be unpredictable.
How many people will be on the tour?
Maximum 16 guests, ensuring a small and friendly group experience.
Do I need to tip the guide or driver?
Tipping is optional and entirely at your discretion. A 10% tip is customary but not expected.
What time will we return to London?
The tour typically returns around 6:30 pm. Timing may vary slightly due to traffic. Guests will be dropped off at Victoria Train Station, providing excellent transport connections across London.
