Small Group Day Tour – Stratford, Warwick Castle, Oxford and the Cotswolds

The Bard’s Stratford

The Royal Shakespeare Company’s venues are in Stratford, a picturesque market town in rural England, where William Shakespeare was born. A lovely river flows through town, past Shakespeare’s grave at Holy Trinity Church. Shakespeare’s Birthplace is one of many amazing half-wooden buildings from his time.

Private Shakespeare Schoolroom Tour

Known as ‘one of the most atmospheric, magical and important structures in Britain,’ For Shakespeare’s 400th death anniversary, Shakespeare’s Schoolroom and Guildhall opened to the public in 2016. Visit the room where major theatre companies performed in the 1570s, when William Shakespeare was a student learning to read and write. It influenced him greatly. Premium Tours will give you a private tour before the school opens in the morning, featuring a Tudor lesson, quill and ink writing, rare mediaeval wall murals, and more. Not to be missed.

Enjoy free time in Stratford-Upon-Avon for lunch.

Warwick Castle

Warwick Castle is Britain’s finest mediaeval castle. With almost 1,000 years of history, Warwick Castle will transport you to a time of lavish banquets, deadly battles, and royal splendour. Cross the footbridge to explore the castle’s ramparts, towers, and gardens. Castles bring history to life. Madame Tussauds’ waxworks show and tell the Earl of Warwick’s battle preparations. Feeling brave? Watch the haunting dungeons where victims were tortured. Take a stroll through the castle’s lush gardens. (The tour includes castle admission.)

Oxford and Cotswolds.

Oxford has one of the world’s best and oldest universities and some of Europe’s best architecture. Ivy-clad stone walls shield exquisite churches, halls, and libraries in the university’s colleges.

Enjoy a guided walking tour of this unique town or tea in the shop where the actual Alice (inspiration for Alice in Wonderland) bought her sweets! Our Oxford excursion will be unforgettable for all ages. Enjoy a brief drive through the Cotswolds on our approach to the amazing city.
