Tis the season for glad tidings and Christmas markets! Our tour takes you on a festive adventure to two historic cathedral towns. Where you can visit both the Salisbury and Winchester Christmas Markets. Join us as we explore unique stalls and sample delicious treats. Make sure to soak up the joyous atmosphere in both of these incredible towns.

A Stop in Salisbury

First, we’ll whisk you away to Salisbury, where you can explore the charming Christmas market. Which is nestled in the shadow of its magnificent cathedral. Your tour includes entrance to this beautifully decorated building. Which legend says was founded where an archer’s arrow landed. This unique location means the cathedral is actually built over a river. Inside, you can explore the beautifully restored Chapter House and see the historic Magna Carta of 1215.

Afterward, you’re free to explore the Christmas markets at the nearby Guildhall and grab a delicious lunch before we continue our journey.

Salisbury Christmas Markets

First, you’ll find the charming Salisbury Christmas market in Guildhall Square. Which is surrounded by the city’s historic streets. As you wander through the market, you can browse a variety of stalls from local artisans. Discovering unique handmade gifts and seasonal treats. Meanwhile, the air fills with the sounds of live music and the festive cheer of shoppers. Finally, take a moment to admire the stunning Salisbury Cathedral, its famous spire. Next, we journey to Winchester, the historic capital of Anglo-Saxon England. Also home to one of England’s most famous Christmas markets. We’ll drop you off at the statue of King Alfred the Great, giving you direct access to the market in the stunning cathedral grounds. Here, you can browse for unique gifts at the festive stalls. Visit the beautiful Winchester Cathedral, or explore the medieval Great Hall.

Winchester Christmas Markets

First, you can discover one of Europe’s top Christmas markets at Winchester Cathedral. Here, you’ll find over a hundred wooden chalets offering unique, high-quality gifts. As you wander, you can indulge in delicious festive food and mulled wine, soaking up the magical, twinkling atmosphere. Finally, admire the breathtaking backdrop of the historic cathedral, making your experience truly unforgettable.

Finally, as the sun sets and the Christmas lights begin to twinkle. We’ll all meet back at the statue for our comfortable journey back to London.

In Salisbury, you’ll have the chance to visit the magnificent Salisbury Cathedral, home to a copy of the Magna Carta, before Browse the charming market stalls in Guildhall Square.

Next, the tour travels to Winchester, where you can immerse yourself in one of Europe’s top Christmas markets, set in the breathtaking grounds of Winchester Cathedral. You’ll find unique gifts, delicious festive food, and a magical atmosphere before returning to London in the evening.

Itinerary

London Pick Ups – 7:30-8:30am

For your convenience, we offer three pick-up points in central and west London, all of which are easily accessible by public transport. Please choose the location that works best for you from the following options:

  • 7:30 am: London Bridge
  • 8:00 am: Victoria
  • 8:30 am: Earls Court

Depart London – 8:30-8:45am 

We depart London and begin our journey to Salisbury, where we’ll visit the Cathedral and Christmas Market. Enjoy historical commentary from your guide along the way.

Arrive at Salisbury – 10:30am 

We arrive in Salisbury, and your tour includes entrance to the magnificent Salisbury Cathedral. Here you can see the famous 1215 Magna Carta before we get into the Christmas spirit and make our way to the Guildhall Square Christmas Market. Enjoy some free time to browse the stalls and grab lunch before we depart for Winchester.

Depart Salisbury – 1:30pm

At 1:30 PM, we’ll leave Salisbury behind and head toward our next festive destination: Winchester.

Arrive in Winchester – 2:30pm

At 2:30 PM, we arrive in Winchester at the King Alfred Statue, putting you right in front of the Christmas Market. You’ll have free time to explore the festive stalls in the Cathedral Grounds and visit either the cathedral or the medieval Great Hall.

Depart Winchester – 5:00pm

At 5:00 PM, as the Christmas lights begin to twinkle, we’ll meet back at the King Alfred Statue for our return journey to London.

London Drop Offs – 7pm 

After a day full of festive sights and shopping, we arrive back in London at approximately 7:00 PM for drop-offs.
