Windsor, Stonehenge and Bath

Begin your British adventure at Windsor Castle, the oldest and largest continuously inhabited castle in the world, home to the British monarchy for over 900 years. Step inside the opulent State Apartments to see a statue of Queen Victoria, the grand Waterloo Chamber, the King’s and Queen’s Rooms, and masterpieces by Leonardo da Vinci and Rembrandt. Explore St George’s Chapel, the site of many royal weddings, including Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s, and the final resting place of Queen Elizabeth II. On Thursdays and Saturdays, experience the iconic Changing of the Guard ceremony. Please note, Windsor Castle is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, when a guided walking tour of Windsor town is offered instead.

Next, visit Stonehenge, one of the world’s most famous prehistoric monuments. Stand before the Neolithic stones, nearly 5,000 years old, and explore theories about their origins. Don’t miss the award-winning visitor centre, with archaeological finds, contemporary art, and a reconstruction of Neolithic houses.

End your day in Bath, a UNESCO World Heritage city celebrated for its Georgian architecture. Explore the Roman Baths, admire the Royal Crescent, Bath Abbey, and Pulteney Bridge, and enjoy the option of a Regency-style afternoon tea at the Jane Austen Centre. Stroll the charming streets and soak in the city’s timeless elegance before returning to London.
