Please make sure you arrive at your chosen departure point at least 10 minutes before your scheduled departure time.
- 7:15 AM: Outside The British Museum main entrance on Great Russell Street. The nearest tube stations are Holborn or Tottenham Court Road.
- 7:30 AM: Outside the Cumberland Hotel main entrance, Marble Arch (formerly the Hard Rock Hotel). The nearest tube station is Marble Arch.
- 7:45 AM: Outside Gloucester Road Tube station, meet at the station exit.

Please note that all timings above are estimated and assume normal traffic conditions. Due to the changeable nature of road conditions, a precise return time to London cannot be guaranteed, but it is usually between 6:00 PM and 7:00 PM.
Upon returning to London, your driver will drop you off at Victoria Train Station in the city centre. This is one of London’s largest transport stations, offering excellent connections to all parts of London and beyond.

Are the meeting points easy to find? Yes, absolutely! All meeting points are conveniently located within short walking distances of tube and bus stops, offering very easy access for taxis. It’s recommended that you arrive at your meeting point 10 minutes before your scheduled departure time. This day trip has been carefully planned to ensure maximum enjoyment, which sadly means departures cannot be delayed for latecomers. This would impact the day’s itinerary and could cause you to miss booked entry times at certain attractions. If you are running late, please phone the emergency number provided on your booking confirmation, and the tour team will do their best to help you. If you miss the departure for your tour, you are welcome to join at the first scheduled stop, but any expenses incurred in doing so will be at your own cost. Refunds cannot be issued for passengers who miss their tour’s departure due to their own late arrival.
How will I identify the vehicle at the meeting point? Depending on the number of people traveling on a particular day, the tour uses comfortable 8 or 16-seater executive vehicles. Upon arrival at the pick-up location, your guide or driver will announce themselves, will be holdinga sign and will be aware of your names, ready to welcome you aboard.
How much time will I have at each sightseeing stop?
- Stonehenge: You’ll have approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes here. This tour is planned to get to Stonehenge first, before the large coaches, helping you miss the queues and crowds!
- Glastonbury: Arriving around lunchtime, you can expect to spend just under 2 hours in Glastonbury. This allows time to visit the Chalice Well Gardens & the Abbey, before taking a stroll around some of this town’s atmospheric & quirky shops & tea rooms.
- Avebury: You’ll spend approximately 45 minutes getting up close to the Avebury Stone Circle.
Are entries into the attractions included in my ticket price? Yes, entry into Stonehenge, Chalice Well Gardens, Glastonbury Abbey & Avebury Stone Circle are all included. For Stonehenge, a free, downloadable audio guide is a popular way to learn more. You can find “Stonehenge Audio Tour” in your App store and are recommended to bring your own headphones.
Will we be able to touch the stones at Stonehenge & Avebury stone circles? At Avebury, the largest megalithic stone circle in the world (thought to be built between 2850 BC and 2200 BC), you’ll have time to wander among the stones, touching and feeling them. However, Stonehenge has World Heritage status and is strictly protected. You’ll be able to walk the full perimeter of the stones but will not be able to touch them.

Is food and drink included in my tour? Unless specifically stated as part of the itinerary, food and drink are not included. There will be opportunities to buy food whilst touring, and to maximize your sightseeing time, you are welcome to bring a packed lunch.
Can I bring food and drink onboard the vehicle? There is to be NO Hot Food or Beverages (exception if a hot beverage is in a sealed reusable thermal cup) on board the coaches due to the risk of scalds or burns and smells remaining on board the vehicle. Only Cold food & beverages with screw-top lids are to be taken on board any vehicle. All litter must be taken with you from the vehicle and disposed of appropriately.
How much walking is involved in this tour?
- Stonehenge: The main visitor areas are all on flat, well-paved ground. A shuttle bus service will take you from the visitor center directly up to the Stones.
- Glastonbury: The town center is small with very short walks. If you choose to climb Glastonbury Tor, this involves an uphill 15-20 minute walk.
- Avebury: Expect short walks involved in and around the Stone Circle.
What should I wear? British weather can be unpredictable, so it’s advised to check the weather forecast and dress appropriately. Bringing some warm clothes, especially in winter, is recommended, and layers are great for adapting to changing weather. It’s a good idea to wear appropriate footwear as there is walking involved. England is known for its rain, so bringing a waterproof jacket or umbrella is advisable!
How many people will be joining this tour? This is one of our Small & Friendly tours. You will benefit from being in a small group of a maximum of 16 people with our expert guide.
Do we need to tip staff? Tips are entirely at your discretion and are by no means expected. Should you feel inclined to tip, your driver or guide would be grateful, but you should not feel obliged. A 10% tip is considered customary in the UK.
