Edinburgh for Hogmanay (NYE) for 5 Days
Now this: Scotland for New Year’s. Your Hogmanay break includes rides, live music, and a Winter Wonderland with an ice rink at one of the world’s greatest parties.
Historical chill at William Wallace’s hometown. An orientation to the city will lead us past kilt-clad locals and castles down cobbled paths. The haggis and whisky capital will impress. Blazing torches and a parade of the oh-so-keen begin the celebrations, so grab one and join the party! Look up to see a viking ship burning on Carlton Hill. Music, street performers, and drinks make it a memorable night. Don’t peak too early—this party lasts four days, unlike others around the world. Why not walk Prince’s Street and the Royal Mile? Before more celebrations, we’ll visit Edinburgh’s castle.
A Scottish New Year’s Eve! The streets are filled with thousands of people from around the world dancing under pyrotechnics and enjoying live music. Skip the morning rush and enjoy some nice cuisine and winter city magic before the party. Start the night correctly with your complimentary ticket to the events. Anyone for ice skating, carnival rides, and dancing? We agree.
Though citywide events will continue, a day is yours to celebrate the new year. A late brunch, city walk, and shopping may be all your danced-out feet can handle. If you’re not exhausted, walk to Arthurs Seat for the city’s best views like a Scot. We love Edinburgh. Join the group for dinner and a show tonight to see bagpipers perform over local cuisine.
The world-famous Hogmanay! Never read a “Top 10 places to do New Year” out of jealousy again.
