Oktoberfest Festival, Munich

Imagine yourself at Oktoberfest, the world’s largest folk festival in Munich, Germany. You’re surrounded by millions, soaking in an unparalleled celebration of Bavarian culture. Traditional music fills the air. Find yourself fully immersed in the vibrant atmosphere of the famous beer halls, truly feeling the heart of this global phenomenon.

Munich

Your main destination is the sprawling Oktoberfest grounds in Munich. Here, you’ll discover massive beer tents, each offering its own unique experience. Picture yourself inside iconic halls like the Augustiner-Festhalle, joining in the communal spirit. It’s often a good idea to arrive early. This helps you secure unreserved seating within the bustling beer tents. Here, you can easily mingle with new people. Get ready to embrace the joyful, beer-soaked madness that defines this incredible festival. Each tent pulses with energy. Oompah bands play traditional German tunes. You’ll see people singing along and dancing on benches. It’s a truly unforgettable sight.

Finding a place to stay during Oktoberfest can be tricky in Munich. However, dedicated camping options offer a comfortable and convenient solution. These campsites are usually located right within Munich’s city limits. They have excellent public transport connections to the festival grounds. This gives you easy access to all the fun. You’ll typically sleep in pre-erected tents, making your arrival simple. These tents come equipped with comfortable camping mattresses and sleeping bags. You might find twin-share setups, or private tents if you’re travelling solo. Larger group tents could also be available. If you want extra comfort, premium options can sometimes be arranged. These camping facilities are often a budget-friendly way to stay in Munich during the festival.

Oktoberfest

Beyond the beer halls, your campsite becomes a huge part of your experience. These sites are famous for hosting world-class parties every night. Live bands play energetic music. DJs spin tracks that keep the dancefloor alive. You can join in engaging drinking games, like flip cup and beer pong, adding to the festive spirit. Maybe even find an on-site store selling traditional German attire. Pick up authentic lederhosen for yourself or beautiful dirndls. This lets you truly embrace the local customs.

Each morning, a hearty breakfast is often provided. This typically includes a cooked brunch buffet with bottomless mimosas. It’ll get you well-fuelled for a day of celebration. At the campsite’s open bar, you can enjoy an all-you-can-drink selection. This usually features beer, wine, and sangria for a daily fee. Soft drinks, tea, and coffee are also available. The convenience of pre-prepared tents, daily brunch, and the lively campsite parties all contribute to a hassle-free and exhilarating trip. This combination creates a truly exciting and social experience for you.

What should I bring?

  • When packing for Munich, be sure to bring warm clothes for sleeping and a raincoat, just in case. We also suggest a pillow and torch for your tent, an awesome outfit for partying, and a camera to capture all the memories.

Do I need a separate ticket to enter the beer halls?

  • Nope, it’s simple: just show up and enjoy! Your booking includes accommodation at our campground, and access to our bar.

How many people can fit in the tents?

  • We offer various accommodation options, including two-person tents, eight-person teepees, and Comfort Plus tents that comfortably sleep three. If you’re a group of three booking standard accommodation, one person will be paired with a new friend of the same gender. For those who prefer more privacy, private tents are available for a small additional fee. We get it – sometimes you just need a little extra space!

What amenities are offered at the campsite?

  • The campsite provides excellent amenities, including spacious bathrooms with hot showers (tokens available at reception for €1), a restaurant/cafe, vending machines, and a small essentials store. While Wi-Fi and charging stations are limited, they are available in certain areas. You can also purchase laundry tokens at reception.
