8 Day Islands of Croatia Cruising
Croatia is a Mediterranean gem with sparkling seas, white sands, and historical sites. The best way to see this beauty is by island-hopping from beach to bay. From the old hamlets of Hvar island and Korcula’s Venetian architecture to Dubrovnik’s Old Town, we’ll sail down the Adriatic in our own traditional sail boat, soaking up the sun under cloudless sky. Bliss.
Start your Croatia sail trip? We’ll board our boat in Split this with lots of anticipation. Glitzy Hvar, where huge boats meet majestic antique architecture, awaits us after our maiden sea voyage. After touring, you’ll dine on board alfresco. It’s a rough day in paradise.
Korčula, albeit adjacent to Croatia, is a distinct island, so we’ll adopt island vibes accordingly. Hidden taverns, peachy sunsets, and cobblestone alleyways by the beach will increase your love for this country (especially if you embark on an epic buggy adventure!). We will spend a day in magnificent Korčula and then go to Dubrovnik. Bernard Shaw, the socialist and dramatist, said, “those that seek paradise on earth should seek it in Dubrovnik.” You heard him—let’s go! Greetings from paradise. Home to craggy cliffs, stormy seas, historic structures, and Game of Thrones themes. You will walk around Dubrovnik with a local guide. Explore Urban District nightlife tonight. Not into parties? Not a problem. Many neighbourhood restaurants, taverns, and cafes await you! Dubrovnik is more than a UNESCO World Heritage Site and Game of Thrones location—neither of which are bad. Visit Dubrovnik’s Old Town, Minceta Tower, Fortress Lovrijenac (GoT’s King’s Landing, House of the Undying entry, Red Keep).
We will sail across Elaphite Islands palms, cypresses, olive trees, citrus fields, and beautiful reefs. We’ll anchor in Trstenik, a pristine town, around sunset. We’ll support a family-owned winery and taste wine here. Return aboard the boat for an optional Captain’s supper and a night of ship antics. Then we return to the mainland for more excitement after Trstenik’s tranquilly. After swimming, we’ll arrive in Makarska to enjoy the Biokovo mountains and a long beach.
After one night of Mediterranean high living, we’ll cruise back to Split. After our time at sea, we can relax and enjoy this evocative city’s Roman past, Game of Thrones filming locations, and a final optional meal in the centre of the old city. Croatia and its islands are stunning. You expected to be blown away, but the new group of lifelong friends will surprise you. Contact
