15 Day Tour of Turkey - Go Mediterranean

Constantinople to Hellas. In plain English - Istanbul to Athens via a chunk of the best of Turkey and the choicest Greek islands. Gallipoli, Troy, Mykonos, Ios, Santorini. It’s all here!

Day 1
Welcome to Turkey! Arrive Istanbul and transfer to hotel in Sultanahmet. Rest of day free.
Overnight - Istanbul.

Day 2 - Istanbul
Enjoy a tour of old Istanbul. Rest of day free. Tonight, we enjoy a group Welcome Dinner at a typical Turkish restaurant. Dinner and overnight - Istanbul.

Day 3 - Istanbul - Gallipoli
At the historical WW1 battlefields of Gallipoli, we enjoy a guided tour with lunch. Lunch and overnight - Gallipoli.

Days 4 - 5 - Gallipoli - Kusadasi
Heading south, we visit famous before exploring the Roman ruins of Pergamum. We continue to the coastal resort of Kusadasi with a stop at a leather manufacturer. On day 5, we explore the Roman ruins of legendary Ephesus, once the capital of Asia Minor. We also visit Selcuk Museum and a carpet manufacturing house. Dinner and overnight (2) - Kusadasi.

Days 6 - 13 - Kusadasi - Greek islands
Bidding farewell to Turkey, we commence our travels in Greece. Travelling by inter-island ferries we visit the best of the Greek Islands including - Samos, Mykonos, Ios and Santorini. We’ll be able to explore some of the best of these islands with time for relaxation and working on that tan. Choose a couple of optional day trips to outerlying islands, perhaps hire a jetski or go water-skiing. The choice is yours. Overnight - Mykonos (2), Ios (2) and Santorini (3). Days 13 - 15 - Santorini - Athens
On day 13, we travel by inter-island ferry to Athens. Tonight, perhaps hit one of the many tavernas in the Plaka district. On day 14, we explore on a walk in Athens some of the Graeco-Roman sights in this historical city such as the Temple of Zeus, the Roman Agora, the Acropolis and of course, the Parthenon - an enduring city symbol. On the morning of day 15, our tour ends after breakfast.
