9 Day Tour of Egypt - Sandblaster

Day 1
Welcome to Egypt and the start of your holiday! Arrive Cairo, included transfer to hotel and overnight.

Day 2 - Cairo – Bahariyya Oasis - breakfast
Today, we visit the famous pyramids at Giza and the necropolis of Saqqara before our drive by minibus to Bahariyya.

Day 3 - Bahariyya Oasis - White Desert - All meals
We check out Bahariyya - an ancient oasis. Continuing by 4 x 4, we visit the Temple of Alexander the Great, Tombs of the Nobles and the Black Desert as we push towards the White Desert. So named, as the sand resembles snow, the striking White Desert is full of unusual wind-eroded limestone formations and our remote overnight base.

Day 4 - White Desert - Dakhla Oasis - All meals
Continuing by 4 x 4, we drive to Farafra oasis, where we can enjoy a dip in the natural springs. Continuing to Dakhla by minibus, we visit the medieval covered city of Al Qasr and head out to Al-Muzawaka tombs. At Deir al-Haggar, we visit a sandstone temple.

Day 5 - Dakhla Oasis - Kharga Oasis - All meals
Enroute to Kharga, we visit the ruins of Qasr Al-Labeka - a grand, romantic and remote fortress-settlement founded by the Romans. In Kharga we visit the Temple of Hibis, the rambling c. 4th century necropolis of al-Bagawat built entirely of mudbrick and the temple ruins of Deir al-Kashef.

Days 6 & 7 - An early drive to Luxor
Upon arrival, check-in to 5 hotel. During our 2 day stay, we’ll visit the Temple of Karnak, the Valleys of the Kings and Queens, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon. Optional visit to the Temple of Luxor inc. dinner - £8 - payable locally.
Overnight (1) - hotel, overnight train to Cairo on evening of Day 7.

Day 8 - Cairo
Arrive, hotel check-in, before our visit to the Egyptian Museum. Rest of day free.
Overnight - Cairo

Day 9 - Cairo - breakfast
Tour ends after breakfast. Included onward transfer to airport.
