Day 1 - London
to Paris
Meet your Contiki crew as we head
for the White Cliffs of Dover and our
cross-channel ferry to France. Tonight,
a perfect introduction to romantic Paris
as we view the splendid illuminations.

Day 2-3 - Paris
Sightseeing
Our sightseeing tour takes in many of
the sights and sounds. Gaze at the Eiffel
Tower, the Louvre, the Arc de Triomphe,
Notre Dame and stroll along the Champs
Elysees. A trip to the Palace of Versailles
is included or in your own time perhaps
visits Euro Disney. At night, a chance

Day 4 - Paris
to Beaujolais Wine Region, Lyon
We head south to the Beaujoalis vineyards
and spend the next two nights at Contiki's
exclusive Chateau de Cruix. Contiki Special

Day 5 - Beaujolais
Wine Region
Drink in the atmosphere, enjoy our included
picnic lunch and explore the French countryside

Day 6 - Lyon
to Barcelona
Continuing south via the aqueduct of Pont
du Gard, we cross the Spanish border to

Day 7 - Barcelona
Sightseeing
Our city tour takes in Gaudi's Art Nouveau
Cathedral and the 1992 Olympic Games complex.
Stroll along the Ramblas, shop for Lladro
porcelain and Majorica pearls, eat tapas
and check out a flamenco evening. Village

Day 8 - Barcelona
to Antibes - French Riveria
Back into France via the beautiful Camargue
with a lunch stop at the walled city of
Aigues Mortes. Explore the area before
continuing to Antibes. Contiki Village

Day 9 - Riveria
at lesuire
It's your choice today - perhaps mix with
the rich and famous on the beach at Cannes
or take a trip into Nice to souvenir shop
and explore this "Queen of the Riveria".
At night, we go to Monte carlo to see
the Royal Palace and visit a casino. Contiki

Day 10 - Antibes
to Venice
We visit a French perfumery before entering
Italy. Our first stop is Verona, the town
of Romeo and Juliet, before heading for
the magnificent city built on water, VEnice.

Day 11 - Venice
Sightseeing
Our complimentary motor boat takes you
to see St Mark's Square, the Doges Palace
and Bridge of Sighs. See glass and lacemaking
demonstrations, wander the canal side
streets and why not treat yourself to

Day 12 - Venice
to Florence
Travelling south we visit Pisa to see
its famous leaning tower. From here we
travel on to Renaissance Florence. Contiki

Day 13 - Florence
Sightseeing
Begin with our included walking tour to
see the Pizza della Signoria, the Duomo
and Santa Croce. Shop for leather, gold
and silver and tonight, join the locals
at a restaurant or a club. Contiki Village

Day 14 - Florence
to Rome
All roads lead to Rome and our Contiki
Village. This afternoon why not discover
the ancient ruins of Rome with a local
guide. Later, a walking tour of this ancient
city will include the Trevi Fountain,
Piazza Venezia, Pantheon and Piazza Navona.

Day 15 - Rome
Sightseeing
Today, take your chance to explore Rome.
Lesuirely discover the secrets of the
Vatican City and the Sistine Chapel or
simply wander the streets and soak up
the atmosphere. Perhaps a barbeque tonight

Day 16 - Rome
to Corfu
A chance to take a guided tour of Pompeii
as we cross Italy to Brindisi to board

Day 17-18 -
Corfu at Lesuire
Two sun-filled days on the Greek island
of Corfu staying at Contiki's Frini Beach
Stopover. Watersports, beaches, caique
cruises, Corfu offers it all. At night,
there's Greek dancing, bars and restaurants
to guarantee excellent nightlife. Contiki

to Athens
Today we travel through The Peloponnesse
and across the Corinth Canal to Athens.

OPTION THREE
Day 20-25 - Athens
Sightseeing and Greece at Lesuire
This morning an orientation tour visiting
the Acropolis, Parthenon and Temple of
Zeus (B). Afterwards you have 6 nights
to 'do your own thing'. If you want to
spend time on your own and discover Greece
at your own pace then this is for you.
Our representative in Athens will meet
you and advise of the multitude of options
available for you. This is an ideal opportunity
to treat yourself to a stay at Contiki's
very own beachfront resort in Mykonos.

Check into the hotel in the afternoon
to re-unite with your fellow travellers.

to Kavala
We head north passing Spartan Thermopylae
and Thessaloniki, once the cultural heart
of the Byzantine Empire, then on to seaside

to Canakkale
South to the Gallipoli Pennisula with
time to reflect on Anzac Beach and the
moving memorials. Cross the Dardenelles
to see Troy's wooden horse. Hotel (B,

Day 29-30 -
Canakkale to Istanbul and Istanbul Sightseeing
Test your bargining power in the Grand
Bazzar, follow our local guide to the
Blue Mosque, the spice markets and perhaps
see the famous Topkapi Palace. Anyone
for a Turkish Bath, a massage or a bellyfull

Day 31 - Istanbul
to Black Sea
Today we head north en route to the Bulgarian
border, continuing on to our hotel by

Day 32 - Black
Sea to Bucahrest
Across the mighty Danube to Romania and
its capital, Bucharest. Enjoy this elegant
city of imposing buildings with our included

Day 33 - Bucharest
to Brasov
We drive through the mysterious Transylvanian
Alps to Brasov. Time to visit Bran Castle,
home of Vlad Tepes-Dacul, immortalised
in print as Count Dracula. Tonight a chance

Day 34 - Brasov
to Cluj
Time to explore Brasov this morning before
continuing onto Cluj stopping at Sigisoara,
a fascinating walled city and the birthplace

to Budapest
Across the great Hungarian plain to Hungary
and its capital city, Budapest, built
on both sides of the Danube. Hotel (B)
Day 36 - Budapest
to Vienna
Sightseeing takes in the quaint hilltop
Buda and bustling Pest, before we waltz
into the home of Strauss to see the splendors
of the once mighty Austrian Empire. Hotel

Sightseeing
A whole day to take it all in. Our sightseeing
tour shows you the fabulous Palace of
Hapsburg's, the State Opera House and
fashionable Kartnerstrasse with a chance
to try authentic apple strudel and Viennese

to Munich
On to lively Munich, where we experience
Bavarian hospitality with a chance to

to Hopfgarten - Austrian Tyrol
Our orientation tour includes the Glockenspiel
and Marienplatz. After lunch.perhaps an
opportunity to go white water rafting
then to Contiki's own Gasthof in the beautiful

of outdoor activities like walking, cycling

to Lauterbrunnen - Swiss Alps
First to Vaduz, the capital of Leichenstein.
Next an oreintation of Lucerne and time
to shop. Tonight's accommodation is at
the base of the Jungfrau in the beautiful

Alps at lesuire
A spectacular day where you can choose
to hike the many trails or enjoy a trip
up the snow-covered Jungfra mountain on
a cog railway that passes through the

Day 43 - Lauterbrunnen
to Rhine Valley
Now to Heidelberg in Germany for an orientation
tour. Then onto St. Goar in the Rhine
Valley before reaching our hote. Hotel

Day 44 - Rhine
Valley to Amsterdam
Today, we cross the Dutch border for Amsterdam.
Visit a cheese farm and see how clogs
are made. Cycle though the countryside
and visit the village of Edam. Our centrall
located hotel is our home for the last

Day 45 - Amsterdam
at Lesuire
Afetr a diamond exhibition, why not take
a canal bike ride to explore further,
perhaps visiting Anne Frank's house. Youth

to London
Time to swap addresses as we travel through
the Belgian Countryside to Calais, France
and our ferry back to England. (B)
