Start exploring this sunny, multicultural, and always-cool city this morning. As you explore the sights, your Trip Manager will tell you about the best parts. Visit the Opera House, take the ferry to Watsons Bay to see the skyline from a different angle, and then relax on Bondi Beach in the afternoon. If you like heights, an optional Harbour Bridge climb is the greatest way to see the harbour.

Say goodbye to Byron Bay and head north to Noosa Everglades. Why not start with morning yoga? After relaxing at the beach, we’ll visit the Noosa Everglades. We’ll unpack at our Special Stay Eco Lodge home for two nights and have a group meal in the restaurant & bar area with local birds and kangaroos.

This day of sand dunes, lakes, and rainforests will boost your spirits. We’ll drive the world’s longest sand roadway before eating a delicious meal. Our last night at Eco Camp is tonight. You have time to eat at the café, visit the CootharaBAR small brewery, or just relax in this lush protected National Park.

As you land in Airlie Beach, the scenery becomes tropical. Hi Whitsundays! You get this afternoon. Explore this backpacker hub’s infinite cafes, pubs, and coastal views.
Day 9 - Airlie Beach
Is anywhere more gorgeous than the Whitsundays? We doubt it. You’ll spend a day at Whitehaven Beach, including snorkelling, exploring one of the world’s most popular holiday spots with 74 beautiful islands and an open sea. The closest thing to heaven on Earth is this.
Day 10 - Airlie Beach
Free day in Airlie Beach today! We may tour this thriving Whitsundays centre. We may skydive over Australia’s most stunning drop zone or fly over Whitehaven Beach and Heart Reef in the Whitsundays. Sip something sweet on the beach or browse the seafront’s quaint boutiques, bistros, and outdoor cafés for a more laid-back choice. Life is hard.
Day 11 - Airlie Beach to Magnetic Island via Townsville
What’s better than Whitsundays? Our next destination surely gets close! This morning we’ll take a coach to Townsville. Taking the ferry to our next destination. Its seaside walking pathways and gum trees full with indolent koala bears make Magnetic Island (Yunbenun) aptly named. There will be plenty of opportunity to explore, swim in the turquoise seas, and meet local marsupials. We’ll watch the bay sunset tonight.
Day 12 - Magnetic Island
Lucky us, we have a day on this idyllic island! Take a plunge in Horseshoe Bay’s clear waters and relax on the beach, or stroll the Forts stroll to see the Palm Island Group, WWII fortifications, and koalas in the wild. See Magnetic Island’s Rock Wallabies at dusk before a free evening to watch the sunset and visit local pubs.
Day 13 - Magnetic Island to Cairns via Townsville
On a ferry this morning, we’ll leave Magnetic Island and say goodbye to our koala buddies. But we’ll never forget its unique beauty. We’re taking a train from Townsville to Cairns late afternoon following a beautiful trip down Australia’s East Coast. Welcome to rainforest-reef city Cairns (Gimuy). Our interactive Bush Food MAKE TRAVEL MATTER® tutorial and dinner will be one of your favourite meals ever. An skilled chef will describe the tastes, provenance, and traditional applications of native spices and fruits as we sample them before eating native game for supper. It’s an amazing cultural feast and the perfect way to start our Cairns vacation.
Day 14 - Cairns
Rise and shine, our day excursion to Daintree, the world’s oldest tropical rainforest, is an MAKE TRAVEL MATTER® experience full of history, heritage, and natural beauty. We’ll see a smoking ritual and take an Aboriginal painting class. Ancient Dreamtime legends, local history, and art will also be covered. We’ll then make a canvas with our own story to take home. A long day, and we’re not done.
Day 15 - Cairns
Today you can take a catamaran to the reef to snorkel or dive and see the brilliant coral and rich aquatic life. Back on board, the trained marine crew will explain this gorgeous but vulnerable natural miracle.
Day 16 - Cairns
Our adventure finishes this afternoon, but we can still experience Cairns’ famous bungy jumping, skydiving, and whitewater rafting. A picturesque Skyrail day trip is also available.
