Tour Itinerary

Day 1 - The Cotswolds & Wales

Morning – Departure from London & Journey to the Cotswolds
Board the mini-coach at 9:15am in London and travel west into the rolling hills of the Cotswolds. Admire the tranquil landscapes, honey-colored cottages, and picture-perfect villages as you leave the bustle of the city behind.

Mid-Morning – Burford
Stop in Burford, known as the “Gateway to the Cotswolds.” Wander the narrow cobbled streets lined with historic stone buildings, and soak in the storybook charm of this timeless town.

Afternoon – Hay-on-Wye & Journey Through Wales
Cross into Wales, a land of over 600 castles and stunning natural beauty. Visit Hay-on-Wye, the world’s original “Booktown,” where book lovers can browse secondhand and antiquarian shops. Then, continue through the serene Elan Valley, with lush woodlands, rivers, and reservoirs, perfect for photos and relaxation.

Early Evening – Aberystwyth
Arrive in Aberystwyth, a charming seaside town and cultural hub. Your evening is free to explore the Victorian pier, stroll along the coastline, or enjoy a cosy dinner in one of the town’s restaurants.

Day 2 - Snowdonia & Harlech Castle

Morning – Journey to Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park
Travel north to Snowdonia National Park, a region of dramatic mountains, serene lakes, and lush valleys. Prepare for awe-inspiring scenery and stories of legends that have inspired generations.

Mid-Morning – Beddgelert
Stop in the picturesque village of Beddgelert, nestled in the heart of Snowdonia. Wander the streets lined with traditional stone cottages and hear the tale of Gelert, the legendary hound that gives the village its charm.

Afternoon – Harlech Castle & Return to Aberystwyth
Visit Harlech Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with epic sea views and a rich, war-torn history. Enjoy lunch at a local café before heading back to Aberystwyth. Take optional trips on the Victorian-era funicular for panoramic views of the town and coast.

Early Evening – Free Time in Aberystwyth
Enjoy your second evening at leisure. Explore more of the town, relax by the seaside, or try local Welsh cuisine at a nearby restaurant.

Snowdonia

Day 3 - New Quay & Dinefwr Estate

Morning – Journey to New Quay
Depart Aberystwyth and travel along the Cardigan Bay coastline, passing through Aberaeron. Stop in New Quay, a picturesque town with whitewashed houses and a sandy harbour. Keep an eye out for dolphins or whales in the bay.

Mid-Morning – Dinefwr Estate
Continue inland to the Dinefwr Estate, home to medieval Dinefwr Castle and the grand Georgian Newton House. Explore the castle ruins and the elegant house, discovering contrasting chapters of Welsh history.

Afternoon – Laugharne & Tenby
Visit Laugharne, the riverside town that inspired poet Dylan Thomas. Explore his Boathouse, or enjoy a coffee with views of the River Tâf estuary. Later, arrive in Tenby, a charming harbour town on the Pembrokeshire coast, where you’ll spend two nights.

Early Evening – Free Time in Tenby
Spend your evening wandering Tenby’s Victorian streets, relaxing on sandy beaches, or sampling the town’s pubs and eateries.

Day 4 - Pembrokeshire Coast National Park

Morning – Journey to St Davids
Travel through Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, the UK’s only coastal National Park. Stop in Pembroke before heading to St Davids, Britain’s smallest cathedral city with rich history and stunning coastal scenery.

Mid-Morning – St Davids Cathedral & Lunch
Explore St Davids Cathedral, a magnificent example of medieval architecture. Enjoy lunch locally before continuing your afternoon adventures.

Afternoon – Optional Pembroke Castle & Tenby Free Time
Castle enthusiasts can visit Pembroke Castle, the birthplace of Henry VII. Alternatively, enjoy Tenby’s beaches, or take a boat trip to Caldey Island, home to Cistercian monks. Return to Tenby for late afternoon free time and sightseeing.

Early Evening – Free Evening in Tenby
Enjoy another evening in Tenby. Take a sunset walk along the beach or dine in one of the town’s many restaurants.

Pembrokeshire

Day 5 - St Fagans & Castle Combe

Morning – Journey to St Fagans
Say goodbye to Tenby and travel south to St Fagans National Museum of History, an open-air museum celebrating Welsh history, culture, and traditional crafts.

Mid-Morning – St Fagans Visit & Lunch
Explore historic buildings, immerse yourself in traditional Welsh crafts, and enjoy lunch on-site. Discover how centuries of history shaped modern Wales.

Afternoon – The Cotswolds & Castle Combe
Cross the Severn Estuary into England, stopping at Castle Combe, one of England’s prettiest villages. Wander cobbled streets, admire thatched cottages, and capture postcard-perfect photos of the scenic countryside.

Early Evening – Return to London
Travel back to London, reflecting on five days of Welsh landscapes, castles, coastlines, and history. Arrive at approximately 7:30pm.
