7 Day Ecuador Expedition with Amazon Jungle Lodge

Begin your adventure in Ecuador with a smooth arrival transfer to your Quito hotel, where a warm welcome briefing introduces you to your fellow travellers. The journey starts on foot through historic streets, leading to a hands-on cooking experience shared as a group. Guided by a talented local chef, you’ll learn about native ingredients, culinary traditions, and the stories behind each dish, finishing with the simple joy of enjoying a meal prepared together.

Ecuador’s landscapes and communities take centre stage as you explore Quito’s old town, passing landmarks such as the ornate Compañia Church, San Francisco Square, and the iconic Panecillo overlooking the city. A locally owned chocolate tasting deepens the experience, revealing the tradition of Minka, a philosophy of collective work that strengthens communities. After a traditional lunch, the equator comes alive at the Intiñan Museum, followed by a relaxed evening back in the capital.

Adventure ramps up in Cotopaxi National Park, where high Andean ecosystems surround you. Visit Limpiopungo Lake with views of Cotopaxi volcano, hike toward the refuge for those feeling adventurous, and enjoy sweeping vistas from a historic hilltop fortress before continuing to the lush town of Baños for an orientation walk and a surprise Adventures moment.

With a full free day in Baños, choose your own pace, from waterfalls and hot springs to panoramic viewpoints. The journey then dives into the Amazon rainforest for a community lodge stay with the Indigenous people of Shandia, featuring cycling, cacao traditions, jungle walks, waterfalls, and meaningful cultural exchange. The adventure concludes with rainforest serenity, a celebratory final night, and a soothing stop at Papallacta’s volcanic hot springs before returning to Quito. Memories formed here linger long after departure, connecting travellers deeply to Ecuador’s spirit forever.
