1 - London to Paris.
Meet your Contiki Crew as we head for
the White Cliffs of Dover and our cross-Channel
ferry to France. Enjoy a perfect introduction
to the romantic city of Paris as we take
an evening tour to view the splendid illuminations.

Day 2 - Paris
Sightseeing.
Our included sightseeing tour takes in
the many sights and sounds of France's
capital. Gaze at world-famous landmarks
like the mighty Eiffel Tower, the Louvre
and the Arc de Triomphe. Visit Nôtre
Dame, stroll along the Champs Elysées
and watch the world go by from a sidewalk
café. Tonight, a chance to taste
traditional French cuisine and see a famous

Day 3 - Paris
to Beaujolais Wine Region, Lyon.
We travel south and stop at Fontainebleau
to see the magnificent château.
Then to the Beaujolais vineyards near
Lyon and two nights in Contiki's exclusive
Château de Cruix. Contiki Special

Day 4 - Beaujolais
Wine Region.
Drink in the atmosphere, enjoy our included
picnic lunch and explore the French countryside
- the choice is yours. Contiki Special

Day 5 - Lyon
to Barcelona.
Continuing south we stop at the aqueduct
of Pont du Gard then head to the Spanish
border and Barcelona. Contiki Village

Day 6 - Barcelona
Sightseeing.
On our included sightseeing tour we'll
take in Gaudi's Art Nouveau Cathedral,
the 1992 Olympic Games complex, and lots
more. Stroll along the Ramblas, shop for
Lladró porcelain and Majorica Pearls,
eat tapas and check-out a Flamenco evening.

Day 7 - Barcelona
to Antibes - French Riviera.
We travel back to France today via the
beautiful Camargue. Our lunch stop is
at Aigues Mortes, one of the last remaining
completely walled cities of France. A
chance to explore the area before continuing
to our campsite at Antibes. Contiki Village

Day 8 - Riviera
at Leisure.
It's your choice today - perhaps mix with
the rich and famous on the beach at Cannes
or take a trip into Nice to shop for souvenirs
and explore this "Queen of the Riviera".
At night, we go to Monte Carlo to see
the Royal Palace and visit a casino. Contiki

Day 9 - Antibes
to Florence.
First a visit to a French perfumery before
entering Italy. See the Leaning Tower
of Pisa before arriving in this most glorious
of Renaissance cities, Florence. Contiki

Day 10 - Florence
Sightseeing.
Begin with our included walking tour
to see the Piazza della Signoria, the
Duomo and Santa Croce. Time is yours to
shop for leather, gold and silver, visit
one of the many galleries or stroll along
the River Arno. Tonight, an opportunity
to enjoy the colourful Florentine nightlife.

Day 11 - Florence
to Rome.
All roads lead to Rome and our Contiki
Village. This afternoon why not discover
the ancient ruins of Rome with a local
guide. Later, a walking tour of this ancient
city will include the Trevi Fountain,
Piazza Venezia, Pantheon and Piazza Navona.

Day 12 - Rome
Sightseeing.
Today, take your chance to explore Rome.
Leisurely discover the secrets of the
Vatican City and the Sistine Chapel or
simply wander the streets and soak up
the atmosphere. Perhaps a barbecue tonight
and a party in the local disco. Contiki

Day 13 - Rome
to Venice.
Travelling north we pass by medieval hillside
villages. Then cross the rugged Appennine
mountains for the Byzantine city of Venice.

Day 14 - Venice
Sightseeing.
Our complimentary motor boat takes you
to see St Mark's Square, the Doges' Palace
and Bridge of Sighs. See glass and lace-making
demonstrations, wander the fascinating
canal side streets and why not treat yourself

Day 15 - Venice
to Vienna.
A spectacular drive before we waltz into
the home of Strauss to see the splendours
of the once mighty Austrian Empire. Hotel

Day 16 - Vienna
Sightseeing.
Our sightseeing tour takes it all in;
the fabulous Palace of the Hapsburg's,
the State Opera House and also fashionable
Kartnerstrasse where you can try authentic
apple strüdel and Viennese coffee.

Day 17 - Vienna
to Munich.
On to lively Munich where we experience
Bavarian hospitality as we visit a favourite
beer hall. Hotel (B)
Day 18 - Munich
to Hopfgarten - Austrian Tyrol.
Our orientation tour includes the Glockenspiel
and Marienplatz. Perhaps the opportunity
to go white water rafting (subject to
weather conditions) before a special welcome
at Contiki's own Gasthof in the Austrian

Day 19 - Austrian
Tyrol at Leisure.
The picture-postcard village of Hopfgarten
is an excellent base to make the most
of the beautiful countryside and experience
a vast range of outdoor activities: walking,
cycling, parapenting or perhaps trout

Day 20 - Hopfgarten
to Lauterbrunnen - Swiss Alps.
First to Vaduz, capital of Liechtenstein.
Then to Lucerne, with time to shop. Home
tonight is at the base of the Jungfrau

Day 21 - Swiss
Alps at Leisure.
A spectacular day where you can choose
to hike the many trails or enjoy a trip
up the snow-covered Jungfrau mountain
on a cog railway that passes through the

Day 22 - Lauterbrunnen
to Rhine Valley.
Heading north we leave Switzerland
and enter Germany en route to Heidelberg
for an orientation tour of this university
city. Then onto the picturesque town of
St Goar in the Rhine Valley before reaching

Day 23 - Rhine
Valley to Amsterdam.
Today, we cross the Dutch border making
our way to Amsterdam. Visit a cheese farm
and see how clogs are made on our afternoon
sightseeing tour. Cycle through the countryside
and explore the fishing village of Edam.
Contiki's centrally located hotel is home
for our last two nights. Contiki Special

Day 24 - Amsterdam
at Leisure.
After a diamond exhibition, why not take
a canal bike ride to explore Amsterdam
further, perhaps visit Anne Frank's house.
It's a day to remember and tonight, we

Day 25 - Amsterdam
to London.
Time to swap addresses as we travel through
the Belgian Countryside and back to Calais
for our ferry crossing to England. (B)

The food
is often prepared especially
for you by the Contiki staff.
You'll occasionally help with
serving and washing up -- it's
all part of the experience! For
breakfast, there's cereal, muesli,
yogurt, bread rolls and fresh
fruit as well as a hot dish.
At lunch you're free to do your
own thing. About half your dinners
are included in the cost of your
tour (see tour itinerary for
specific meal details) On other
nights we take you out to sample
