Tour of Europe - European Magic

Day
1 - London to Amsterdam.
A warm welcome from your Contiki crew
this morning as we head for the White
Cliffs of Dover and our ferry crossing
to France. We continue through Belgium
to Holland and its capital, Amsterdam,
for the evening. (D)
Day 2 - Amsterdam
to Rhine Valley.
First an orientation tour of Amsterdam
including a visit to a diamond cutting
exhibition, before we drive on to Germany
and the Rhine Valley with its vineyards,
castles and Lorelei Rock.(B,D)
Day 3 - Rhine
Valley to Munich.
We follow the Rhine on our way to Bavaria
and its capital, Munich. On our orientation
tour, see the Marienplatz and the Glockenspiel.
Tonight you have the opportunity to experience
a Bavarian beerhall. (B)
Day 4 - Munich
to Venice.
Spectacular scenery as we head south through
Austria, before crossing over the Brenner
Pass for two nights at our hotel near
the canals and cathedrals of Venice. (B,D)
Day 5 - Venice
Sightseeing.
Our complimentary motor boat takes us
to see St Mark’s Square, the Bridge
of Sighs and the Doges’ Palace. See
demonstrations of glass blowing and lace
making and wander the fascinating side
streets. Why not treat yourself to a gondola
ride?(B)
Day 6 - Venice
to Lucerne.
A spectacular alpine drive takes us past
Lake Como and climbs into Switzerland.
Lakeside Lucerne awaits with its cobbled
streets. Our orientation tour takes in
the famous wooden Chapel Bridge.(B,D)
Day 7 - Lucerne
to Paris.
We drive through the beautiful French
countryside as we head for Paris. Tonight
enjoy a first view of the sights in this
spectacular city of light. (B,D)
Day 8 - Paris
Sightseeing.
This morning on our city tour see the
Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, Nôtre
Dame Cathedral and the Louvre. Time to
stroll by the Seine. Tonight why not experience
a typical Parisian dinner and a famous
cabaret? (B)
Day 9 - Paris
to London.
A chance to do some last minute shopping
in Paris before we head north to visit
the Canadian War Memorial situated near
the valley of the Somme. From here to
Calais and our cross channel ferry to
Dover to arrive in London mid evening.(B)
