Day One

A morning departure from London Kings Cross we travel by GNER train north into Scotland arriving in Edinburgh at lunch time. Upon arrival we are met by a local coach and guide - a real extrovert, who takes us on a sightseeing tour of the city, a fantastic experience for all. The tour ends at our selected hotel where accommodation is provided in en suite rooms on a bed and cooked breakfast
basis.

The evening is at leisure in Edinburgh or:

Day Two

A full day to enjoy the sights of Scotland's Capital City. The Royal Mile, Edinburgh Castle, The Palace of Holyroodhouse and with the historic centre of the city now receiving World Heritage status there is plenty to see and do while you are here. Alternatively take advantage of our great optional excursion. (A day trip up to Loch Ness)

Day Three

After breakfast you can leave your baggage at the hotel while you enjoy another day sightseeing and enjoying Edinburgh, before we transfer back to the station in the late afternoon to connect with the return GNER rail service to London.

Over Easter we offer a four day tour to Edinburgh which includes an extra day sightseeing. Loch Lomand, the Trossachs - an area of outstanding beauty and a visit to a whisky distillery to see how this famous Scottish spirit is produced, are all included.

Throughout August our programme operates at increased frequency to include entrance to the world famous Military Tattoo which takes place in the grounds of Edinburgh Castle.
