San Fermin - The Running Of The Bulls Pamplona

Tour Itinerary - 7 Day Estella

Camping Lizarra, Estella
Our closest camp to Pamplona is Camping Lizarra at Estella. It is approx. 40 minutes by coach from the city and has excellent facilities including a bar (that hardly ever closes!), restaurant, shop, regularly cleaned toilets and showers plus a huge pool. Estella itself is a large typical Spanish village with it's own bustling nightlife and sights. Definitely worth a visit.

Day 1 Monday - 3rd July 2006
Depart London
Check in at Paddington Station, Eastbourne Terrace, for the morning departure to Dover. Check in at 10.30am for a 11.00 am departure.

Day 2 - Tuesday 4th July 2006
Arrive and Chill Out in Estella
We enter Spain after dawn. Climb the Basque Pyrenees and then drive around Pamplona onto our base at Estella (about 35km from Pamps). We arrive at our terrific camping ground mid morning. There's no need to worry about putting up the tents as they'll be up when you arrive.

Maybe spend the day in the medieval Estella township or working on your tan by the huge pool. Get into the San Fermin atmosphere at the camp's bar (which by the way, hardly ever closes). Tonight PP Crew will walk you into Estella to hit the local bars!

Day 3 - Wednesday 5th July 2006
San Sebastian and Pre Pamps Party
After breakfast we offer you the chance to explore with an excursion to the ritzy beach resort of San Sebastian. Here you'll have the day free to do some sightseeing around one of Spain's premier beach resorts as well as maybe hitting one or two of its 400 tapas bars! Later we head back to camp for the famous PP Pre Pamps Party.

Pamps legend Steve "Idiot" Werren will again perform life at the camp. It's always a sensational night and the music and sangria are sure to get us all in the fiesta spirit.

Day 4 Thursday - 6th July 2006
Opening Day of San Fermin
Now the serious fun starts! After breakfast we transfer you into Pamplona with plenty of time to get your position for the traditional midday Champagne opening ceremony. At noon the rocket goes off and the fiesta really begins ... look out its sangria time! The party atmosphere in Pamplona this afternoon is truly incredible and you'll be right in the middle of it. Don't forget to wear old white clothes!

Free shuttles operate to the camp again until later in the evening.

Day 5 Friday - 7th July 2006
First Running of the Bulls!!
Feeling brave? You'll need to be because at dawn our coaches roll into town for the first running - as always - on the 7th of the 7th. We offer juice on the way into town early each morning to try to have you in condition to take on those huge beasts. After the run you can choose to head back to camp to recover in the sun by the pool or continue to rage in town all day. We offer breakfast (cereals, eggs, fresh fruit, juice, tea, coffee) all morning back at the camp - and you can have as much as you like!

Shuttles will operate again until late in the evening - ensuring yet another big night. Maybe do an all-nighter.... party through the night and coaches will be back the next morning to return you to camp after the run.

Day 6 - Saturday 8th July 2006
Running of the Bulls Again! Head home
Here we go again. Up early for another bash at those bulls. Maybe you're a little weary - well relax and have a final dip in the camp's pool. We depart early afternoon to drive back over the Pyrenees and up through France..

Day 7 - Sunday 9th July 2006
Back to London
After an overnight journey through France we catch a morning ferry from Calais back to Dover then onto London, arriving early afternoon.
