Itinerary - 7 Day Beach and Pamps
Day 1 Monday 3rd July 2006
Depart London
Check in, Paddington Station, Eastbourne Terrace. For the morning departure to Dover ferry. Check in at 11.30 am for a 12.00 noon departure.
Day 2 - Tuesday 4th July 2006
Introducing Sun and Sand....
We arrive at our campground in Zarautz midday giving you the day to shake off the London blues! Our camping ground - with pre-erected tents - is beside the beach. Zarautz is a ritzy northern Spanish coastal town, only 15km west of San Sebastian, about 85 km from Pamplona. The campground has good facilities including its own bar, shop, and restaurant.
To get you into the Pamps fiesta mood the first of our two Beach 'n Pamps parties kicks off outside the camp's bar this afternoon or you can take it easy and work on your suntan at the nearby beach. This evening continue the party spirit at Zarautz's many lively tapas bars.
Day 3 - Wednesday 5th July 2006
San Sebastian Tour
After breakfast today we take you to the Basque capital - San Sebastian - one of Spain’s premier beach resorts. As well as taking in the sights you could also hit one or two of the city’s 400 tapas bars. We then head back to Zarautz for another big night, or you can choose to stay and party in San Sebastian, making your own way back to camp.
Day 4 - Thursday 6th July 2006
Opening Day of San Fermin!
Now the serious fun starts! We head into Pamplona with plenty of time to get your position for the traditional midday champagne opening ceremony. After that the fiesta begins ... look out its sangria time! Enjoy the rest of the day partying with the locals - the atmosphere is unbelievable.
Day 5 - Friday 7th July 2006
First Running of the Bulls
Feeling brave? You'll need to be as it's a 5.15am wake up call to head into town for the first running - as always - on the 7th of the 7th. We offer juice on the way into town to try to have you in condition to take on those huge beasts. After the run you can either remain in Pamplona to party through the day or head back to the coast to recover on the beach. We offer breakfast (cereals, eggs, fresh fruit, juice, tea, coffee) all morning and you can have as much as you like!
Tonight is our final big night in Pamplona. Coaches will take you from Zarautz back into town and will return late in the evening.
Day 6 - Saturday 8th July 2006
More Running of the Bulls!!! Head Home
Here we go again! Up early for another bash at those bulls, Wrecked?? then maybe sleep in and hit the beach early, we will again be serving breakfast before departing Zarautz late afternoon for a drive back up through France to Calais.
Day 7 - Sunday 9th July 2006
Back to London
We catch a morning ferry back to Dover then drive onto London, arriving around noon.
Camping Tali Mendi, Zarauz
Our Beach Tour is based at Camping Tali Mendi, in the coastal resort town of Zarautz (also known as Zarauz), approximately 75 minutes travel time from Pamplona. It also has fine facilities (except a pool) but is only a few hundred metres from the beach. It is in a lovely spot with sweeping views of both the ocean and surrounding mountains.
