Tour Itinerary
Day 1
DEPART LONDON
Check in 0930am. Paddington Station, Eastbourne Tce. Depart 1000am. We drive to Dover for an early afternoon ferry to Calais. We then take a leisurely drive across Belgium entering Germany late that night. It is then a night drive onto Bavaria, around Munich and onto Austria.
Day 2
ARRIVE ST JOHANN – HIT THE SLOPES!!
We arrive in the beautiful Tyrolean village of St Johann in the morning. Check into our accommodation and get set to hit the slopes. For those who are really keen you will have time to ski that afternoon. Or you can take a leisurely stroll around the village with your PP rep. Tonight join us for an optional 1st night dinner followed by our welcome to the alps party.
Day 3
SKI ST JOHANN!
Join our guided ski safari around the 65km of piste at St Johann. After lunch join us on a mountain pub crawl. It is impossible to get around all 19 mountain bars – St Johann has the most gasthofs/bars per km of slope than any other resort in Austria! Apre ski at Max’s Pub.
Day 4
WHITE XMAS PARTY!
Morning ski – for those who are up to it. Then join us for the main event – our fully catered Xmas dinner that afternoon. A big 3-course lunch will be served at special private venue in the centre of town. Entertainment and huge party is set to follow.
Day 5
SKI KITZBUHEL
Looking to try out some new slopes? Well, join us at one of Europe’s great resorts -Kitzbuhel, is just around the corner from St Johann. It hosts the amazing Hahnenkamm ski race – the premier event on the World Cup ski circuit. Kitzbuhel’s facilities and choice of runs are unbelievable. Kitzbuhel is where modern skiing started and has 56 lifts and over 165km of groomed slopes! Note, Kitzbuhel is on a separate ski pass to St Johann (unless you have bought an alpenpass) and would suit experienced skiers
If you don’t want to head to Kitz, continue the fun at St Johann or catch the free local bus to another resort linked to St Johann pass – Fieberbrunn. Again, only a short journey.
Tonight: Tobogganing. We take up the mountain on the nightlift to another restaurant high on the slopes. Then race down to the village on the specially lit toboggan course. Optional: cost 28 euros. Note this activity will depend upon the snow conditions.
Day 6
SKI STEINPLATTE
Looking for something else new? Today we head to the spectacular resort of Steinplatte, only a 25min drive from St Johann. The skiing here is fantastic with its huge open bowls as well as its great views of over the alps and onto Bavaria. You can, in fact, ski international and cross the border into Germany! The area is ideal for begginers and intermediates. Also, the Steinplatte resort is included on a 3-day or more St Johann ski pass.
Tonight: Fondu and bumboarding. A great night up the mountain. We take you by taxi up to a mountain restaurant for a dinner swiss style. Then it is onto the tiny plastic plates and bumboard your way back into St Johann village. Option: cost 25 Euro.
Day 7
SALZBURG DAY TOUR
Need a rest from the slopes? Let us take you on a day tour to the wonderful city of Salzburg – the home of Mozart. One of Europe's finest city breaks. Or head back up the slopes and get those skis or boards into action again.
Back in St Johann we have a big final night party planned.
Day 8
DEPART RESORT
A sleep-in iby now is definitely in order! So after a late breakfast we check out of our accommodation and then depart our resort at lunch time for the drive back through Germany and onto Calais.
Day 9
RETURN TO LONDON
Ferry from Calais to Dover docking around dawn. Early morning arrival at Paddington giving you the whole day to begin the recovery process - or head straight to Edinburgh for Hogmanay (New Year's Eve in Scotland...!)
