7 Day Chilled Walking Tour of the Wine Vinieris of Burgundy

This immersive seven-day journey through Burgundy invites you to experience one of France’s most celebrated regions through its landscapes, history, and extraordinary food and wine culture. Beginning in Dijon, the historic heart of Burgundy, you’ll be welcomed by your Experience Officer and fellow travellers before settling into the rhythm of local life. Dijon’s UNESCO-listed centre, renowned mustard, cassis liqueur, and rich culinary traditions set the tone for a week of discovery.

Over the following days, explore Burgundy at a gentle pace through guided walks, scenic train rides, and memorable tastings. Wander through Dijon’s vibrant streets and markets, then venture into the surrounding countryside to Marsannay-la-Côte for your first vineyard experience at the elegant Château de Marsannay. Walk among legendary vines linking villages such as Gevrey-Chambertin, Chambolle-Musigny, and Vougeot, and step inside the iconic Château du Clos de Vougeot, a cornerstone of Burgundy’s winemaking heritage.

Midway through the tour, travel south to Beaune, the wine capital of the region. From here, enjoy walks through the Côte de Beaune and Côte de Nuits, visiting Pommard, Vosne-Romanée, and Nuits-Saint-Georges—names synonymous with world-class Pinot Noir. Highlights include tastings at historic châteaux and wineries, a visit to the magnificent Hospices de Beaune, and a leisurely countryside walk from Rully to Chagny, famed for refined white wines.

Balanced with guided experiences and free time, this tour offers the perfect blend of activity and relaxation. With comfortable accommodation, expert leadership, and unforgettable flavours at every turn, it’s an enriching introduction to the timeless beauty and traditions of Burgundy.
